Rest, and you will feel better

There seems to be some bug going around (influenza?), and I might have gotten it as well. On Monday, I had a sore throat, my nose was running constantly, and in the evening I reached a new record level of "tired." Fortunately I had some of the best sleep that I've had in a long time that night, and I'm doing much better now.

So many tools, so many subscriptions...

I'm currently trying out a lot of different tools, the newest one being the notetaking app Obsidian. I like the UI and UX and how it lets you auto-generate a mindmap of sorts. Of course, one of the most useful features (synching your notes between your phone and PC) is locked behind a subscription. I'm still considering if I even want to upgrade Bear Blog, so another subscription is out of the question atm. I'm going to have to transfer my notes the old-fashioned (and slightly annoying) way.

Feels like uni

Listening to Deutschlandradio (something like the German version of BBC radio) a lot lately, especially the "Hörsaal" (auditorium) program on DLF Nova. Hearing all these different professors and researchers talk about their area of expertise or research is super interesting. Might be getting on a bit of a "science trip." I also tried out the "Radiolab" podcast, but that one felt a bit ... overproduced? I think I prefer the drier, straight-up lecture stuff. I want to look for similar content from English- and Japanese-speaking universities.
